Federal IDR arbitration training with AHLA, December 9 and 10

Blue Mountain Law is partnering with the American Health Law Association (AHLA) on a new training: the Federal Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) Health Care Arbitration Training, December 9 and 10, 2026, online.

Since the No Surprises Act took effect, federal IDR has become one of the busiest areas of payment disputes in health care. This two-day program is built for arbitrators, reviewers and IDR entity staff. It walks through the full process, from eligibility to the written payment determination.

It covers how to read EOBs and coding, the QPA, which information can and can’t be weighed, conflicts of interest and ethics, and how to write clear, well-supported decisions. Group exercises with sample case files give practice at each step.

Madeline Hatfield and Hailey Forcella teach the program, with guest speakers on their areas of expertise. Spots are limited, and early registration ends November 18. CLE credit details will follow.
